Ronnie & Barry Go To Philly

These two men have "united" Black people more than any other US President in modern history.

  • Reagan - Still today Black Progressives join with their Progressive brothers to blame Reagan for our present economic fate, the fall of labor unions and the influx of CRACK into the Black community
  • Obama - Despite the fact that the budget deficit in the single year of 2010 was greater than all of the deficits in 8 years of Reagan - Obama escapes the indictments for his economic policies that are assigned to Reagan.  In fact they made the case that he didn't spend enough debt money.  Obama's ability to unify Blacks is because most Black Progressives seek to defend him against any attacks from Republicans and "Reagan Democrats".  They live vicariously through Obama's shoes and thus it feels like they were assaulted when he is.

Obama's Race Speech:

Like the anger within the black community, these resentments aren't always expressed in polite company. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation. Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends. Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.
